On January 12, Dr. Phung Duc Lam, head of the cerebrovascular disease department at a hospital in Vietnam. Revealed that a 27-year-old male patient was brought to the hospital with blurred vision, loss of vision in his right eye, and numbness in his face and right side of his body. An MRI diagnosed him with a stroke. The doctor administered a blood thinner to the patient, and 1 hour after the injection. The patient’s eye abnormalities improved by 70%. After 3 days of treatment, the patient’s eyes returned to normal completely.

Stroke is a very dangerous disease that can cause death or lifelong disability. Importantly, few patients come to the hospital during the first 6 hours. Which is the “golden time” to save a patient’s life. It occurs when a blood vessel in the brain is blocked or ruptured. Causing the ability of brain cells to lack oxygen and nutrients. These cells are destroyed or die, causing symptoms such as loss of ability to speak, move or feel.

In the ยูฟ่าเบท case of the young man above who was considered very young and had unclear symptoms, fortunately the patient came to the hospital and was detected in time. Thus avoiding complications due to cerebrovascular disease.

Doctors warn of risky timing due to “weather changes”

Experts point out that the chance of “rhythm” often increases when the weather is cold and when the weather changes suddenly. When the weather is cold, catecholamines in the blood will increase, causing blood vessels to narrow, causing pressure inside the blood vessels to increase. Resulting in increased blood pressure and increased heart rate. Which makes the blood coagulate more, easily forming blood clots, causing blockage of blood vessels, ischemic stroke or diseases related to the heart’s blood vessels, such as myocardial infarction.

To prevent stroke in winter  due to sudden temperature changes. It is very important to keep the body warm. Especially the head and neck in winter. You should sleep in a well-ventilated room and keep your body warm at all times. In the morning before getting out of bed. You should do some light exercise to warm up your body and adjust to the outside weather. You should not get out of bed immediately upon waking up. Also, when the temperature drops, you should drink warm water, limit your cold food intake, and do not take a late-night shower or a cold shower.

In addition, patients need to have regular health check-ups. If high blood pressure or diabetes is detected, they must take medication as prescribed by the doctor and must not stop taking medication without permission.
