Former Manchester City midfielder Roy Keane has slammed Manchester City defender Kyle Walker for faking an injury in Sunday’s 2-1 Premier League defeat to Manchester United.

In the first half, with Manchester City leading 1-0, Walker clashed with Rasmus Hojlund, causing the Danish striker to be unhappy and want to take action. The two clashed heads slightly before Walker fell down and clutched his face.
This moment sparked a scramble for both teams, with Harry Maguire shouting abuse at Walker before Haaland pushed him away.
Keane said with a serious face about the moment: “You wouldn’t mind something like this. It’s definitely going to happen in the game. It’s a little bit of an argument.”
“But when I look at it, he was ยูฟ่าเบท definitely blocked. But Walker has to be ashamed, he has to be ashamed to go down like that. An experienced player, listen, there was no contact. Look, I don’t know the guy, but I’m ashamed for him. It’s embarrassing.”
Meanwhile, co-host Micah Richards added: “He’s better than that,” to which Keane replied: “Really? I’m not sure.”
Former Crystal Palace manager Frank de Boer also tore into Walker’s behaviour.
Appearing as a pundit on Dutch TV, De Boer said: “If Kyle Walker watches that clip back, surely he can’t take himself serious anymore?! It makes me furious. I find this ridicilous!
“And he even keeps laying on the ground! This is screwing up our game of football, look at how they treat each other in rugby, and then look at this.”
